Top 9 Tips for Email Marketing
Today I want to share with you some tips for email marketing. Email marketing can be the most
powerful strategie, if you are using it right.Here are the Top Nine Tips for e-mailings that generate
more sales.
1. Set specific objectives
With e-mail marketing you get immediate feedback on the success of your campaigns by the open and
click rates. But where it really matters in the end, the movement of the receiver is to conversion in the
marketing-sales pipeline.
There are receivers in different stages of the purchase process: from superficial to interested buyer
looking for a good price-performance ratio.
Define the conversion moments that are relevant to your organization and focus your e-mail in here. By
then measuring your conversions, you are better able to chart the results of your email marketing
activities and provide your management information.
2. Create relevant content
Make sure your posts are relevant to your receiver, otherwise it is dropped. The three key elements of
relevant content are: aanspekende content, timely communication and segmentation. Start by delivering
consistent content and streamline processes wherever possible to get quality content.
Then combine the data from your CRM system, for example, sales data to your e-mail file to identify

removed. Stick to the email code and be relevant, you avoid spam complaints.
6. Use short subject lines
The subject line is in most e-mail programs no more than 50 positions. That’s the length that should
have your core message. Think of headlines that are provocative short.
Do not create false expectations, but make sure that the recipient will recognize immediately the
subject line after opening the message.
7. Work with established procedures
Provide consistent quality by using standard procedures for content creation. It works easy to use a
matrix in which the various groups are housed with their different objectives and information needs.
Divide responsibilities among the members of a team of editors.
8. Use a good tool
Minimum ESP (Email Service Provider) must provide facilities for creating and uploading of address
lists, a WYSIWYG editor to create your e-mail and reporting opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces.
Features register (double opt-in), and write “tell more” should also not be missed. Also opportunities to
create landing pages and service forms and linking images / documents and keep indispensable.
Besides the basic functions, there are advanced features that you need if you want to get more out of
your e-mailings. Automate your marketing with autoresponders. Content you want to link your course
on social media. Can your tool that automatically?
Very importat is also the opportunity to test your templates spam sensitivity, blockades and robustness.
Better tools provide an “in-box preview” for many common email programs (Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail,
Thunderbird, Lotus Notes, etc.).

9. Continue to test and optimize
By reading marketing books, attending webinars and visiting seminars you stay informed of the latest
trends and best practices. But if you really want to know what works best for your organization and
your relationships you have to test your email messages. There is much to test, such as different subject
lines, or no button, different images or correct other content etc. Make a plan and test one thing at a

Email marketing can be the most powerful strategie, if you are using it right.Here are the Top Nine Tips for e-mailings that generate more sales. 1. Set specific objectives With e-mail marketing you get immediate feedback on the success of your campaigns by the open and click rates.
