• These types of content are called Content
Types in Drupal.
• How site editors can input original content on
Drupal Site.

• Defines various default settings for node of
that type.
• Differentiate content with different types.
• You can add content types via
Administrator => Structure => Content Types => Add Content
Type.

Blocks

• Blocks are the boxes of content that can be
displayed in regions.
• Blocks can be configured to modify their
appearance, shape, etc.
• Theme can define it’s own regions.

• Blocks are placed in regions using Block
Admin Page.
• Block Admin page can be accessed via
Administrator => Structure => Blocks.

User’s
• User’s are nothing but the authenticated
visitors to your Drupal site.
• Drupal can have “Anonymous registration”
and “Adding Users through admin”.

Roles
• Roles are used to group and classify users.
• Roles are also a set of permissions given to
specific user.
• Each user can have one or more roles.
• Default Drupal installation has 3 roles
(anonymous, authenticated and
administrator).
• Site Admin can add roles via
Administrator => People => Permissions
=> Roles.
