TONY PEPE’S ORGANIC STORY
It was a depressing trip I made to see my aunt in
IDAHO. She used to be a well built attractive
woman. She would wear a bikini to the beach and
you could see her NAVEL. That’s where she met
my uncle and she was the APPLE of his eye. The
made a great PEAR. They were so much in love
and wanted to get married. They knew they CANTALOPE so, they suggested to go to their parents
to see if they would LETTUCE get married. They
were afraid they would put a SQUASH to it. I don’t
remember the DATE but, they were finally married.
After they were married my poor uncle was always
busy. You know that old joke my aunt would always be saying HONEYDEW this HONEYDEW
that. They purchased a new ORANGE car that
turned out to be a LEMON They made a happy
couple and you can’t BEET that.

NOVEMBER NEWS ITEMS
You are invited to a new Bible study on Thursday
mornings.
Friendship Bible Coffees are sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries and apply biblical truths to our
every day lives. These studies are nondenominational and are open to women of all
faiths.
Join us from 10 to 11:30AM for coffee, goodies,
fellowship and an opportunity to share the Bible. Location will be at Myra Harke’s 34451 Yellow Perch Place. Call 813-395-6545 to reserve a
study book and a place at the table beginning October 10th.
November Notes from Kate
It’s hard to believe the holiday season is upon us, but I must admit I love this time of year. Let me
first thank all of you who showed me kindness by sending cards, notes, gifts, and stopping in to visit
after my crazy broken hip saga. It really meant a lot to me for you to take the time to wish me well. I
am nearly back to 100% and can’t wait to get back into my normal routine. Thanks so much!

I wanted to mention that we process the rent checks by using an electronic scanner that digitally
transmits the deposits to the bank. While this is extremely convenient in that we do not have to go to
the bank every day, it often misreads the amount written on the checks, and the machine then rejects
the checks. We run into this quite frequently as the amounts are often quite difficult to read. We
would like to remind you that you can sign up for EFT where the amount will be sent each month by
printed checks from your bank, or you can sign up through online banking if you pay bills that way.
Also, we would be more than happy to assist you and fill in the dollar amount for you if you bring
your check into the office. There are several of you who bring them in and I do not mind helping
you at all.

I mentioned this last month, but I see people who park on and drive through the grass each and every
day by the mail station. The main problem is that we are creating a pathway in the grass. If you
look, you can see the tire tracks. It will fix itself if we stop cutting through. Please just use the roadway and go through the parking lot to get to the mail station. It can’t take but a few seconds longer.

The Garden Club is still seeking new members. Come out to the clubhouse on Tuesday mornings at
8:00 a.m. and help out with the gardening gurus! They do an incredible job but really need some additional able bodies. Just one hour a week is all it takes. We are very grateful for all they do to help
keep our grounds nice.

Just a reminder that individual yard sales are generally not permitted but can be reviewed under some
circumstances. This is for the safety of our residents in many ways, and we appreciate your cooperation. Dates and times of the community wide sale is in this newsletter. You not only benefit from
larger crowds but also from the community advertising the sale.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I so look forward to the holiday decorations! There
just might be a contest for the most festively decorated home in Crystal Lake! Details to follow!

Kate
MEET YOUR NEIGHBOR
Bill and Mari Wuest
34637 Sunward Loop

We have been Crystal Lake residents for three years. First as snowbirds, we bought the house on Misty
Pines from Mari’s parents (Orv & Geri Heim) who lived here for 18 years. Last year we moved to our
current location at 34637 Sunward Loop to have a larger more handicap accessible house. We are now
full time Crystal Lake residents.
Bill grew up in LaCrosse, Wi. And was the owner of a professional photography studio and later a semi
-truck driver. He has one older brother (by 14 years).
Mari grew up in Green Bay, the 3rd of 9 children (8 girls & 1 boy). Mari worked at Sentry Insurance in
Stevens Point, Wi for 36 years, retiring in 2011 from the Director of Pension Compliance position.
Between us, we have four children: 2 girls and 2 boys and 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 4
months to 15 years.
Mari enjoys golf, sewing, knitting, crochet and cross stitch. Bill enjoys playing cards and “putzing” in
his “man cave”.
We love Crystal Lake community and are happy to be here enjoying our retirement years.

  • 9. TONY PEPE’S ORGANIC STORY It was a depressing trip I made to see my aunt in IDAHO. She used to be a well built attractive woman. She would wear a bikini to the beach and you could see her NAVEL. That’s where she met my uncle and she was the APPLE of his eye. The made a great PEAR. They were so much in love and wanted to get married. They knew they CANTALOPE so, they suggested to go to their parents to see if they would LETTUCE get married. They were afraid they would put a SQUASH to it. I don’t remember the DATE but, they were finally married. After they were married my poor uncle was always busy. You know that old joke my aunt would always be saying HONEYDEW this HONEYDEW that. They purchased a new ORANGE car that turned out to be a LEMON They made a happy couple and you can’t BEET that. NOVEMBER NEWS ITEMS You are invited to a new Bible study on Thursday mornings. Friendship Bible Coffees are sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries and apply biblical truths to our every day lives. • 10. November Notes from Kate It’s hard to believe the holiday season is upon us, but I must admit I love this time of year. Let me first thank all of you who showed me kindness by sending cards, notes, gifts, and stopping in to visit after my crazy broken hip saga. It really meant a lot to me for you to take the time to wish me well. I am nearly back to 100% and can’t wait to get back into my normal routine. Thanks so much! I wanted to mention that we process the rent checks by using an electronic scanner that digitally transmits the deposits to the bank. While this is extremely convenient in that we do not have to go to the bank every day, it often misreads the amount written on the checks, and the machine then rejects the checks. We run into this quite frequently as the amounts are often quite difficult to read. We would like to remind you that you can sign up for EFT where the amount will be sent each month by printed checks from your bank, or you can sign up through online banking if you pay bills that way. Also, we would be more than happy to assist you and fill in the dollar amount for you if you bring your check into the office. There are several of you who bring them in and I do not mind helping you at all. I mentioned this last month, but I see people who park on and drive through the grass each and every day by the mail station. The main problem is that we are creating a pathway in the grass. If you look, you can see the tire tracks. It will fix itself if we stop cutting through. Please just use the roadway and go through the parking lot to get to the mail station. It can’t take but a few seconds longer. The Garden Club is still seeking new members. Come out to the clubhouse on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and help out with the gardening gurus! They do an incredible job but really need some additional able bodies. Just one hour a week is all it takes. We are very grateful for all they do to help keep our grounds nice. Just a reminder that individual yard sales are generally not permitted but can be reviewed under some circumstances. This is for the safety of our residents in many ways, and we appreciate your cooperation. Dates and times of the community wide sale is in this newsletter. You not only benefit from larger crowds but also from the community advertising the sale. Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I so look forward to the holiday decorations! There just might be a contest for the most festively decorated home in Crystal Lake! Details to follow! Kate
  • 11. MEET YOUR NEIGHBOR Bill and Mari Wuest 34637 Sunward Loop We have been Crystal Lake residents for three years. First as snowbirds, we bought the house on Misty Pines from Mari’s parents (Orv & Geri Heim) who lived here for 18 years. Last year we moved to our current location at 34637 Sunward Loop to have a larger more handicap accessible house. We are now full time Crystal Lake residents. Bill grew up in LaCrosse, Wi. And was the owner of a professional photography studio and later a semi -truck driver. He has one older brother (by 14 years). Mari grew up in Green Bay, the 3rd of 9 children (8 girls & 1 boy). Mari worked at Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point, Wi for 36 years, retiring in 2011 from the Director of Pension Compliance position. Between us, we have four children: 2 girls and 2 boys and 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 months to 15 years. Mari enjoys golf, sewing, knitting, crochet and cross stitch. Bill enjoys playing cards and “putzing” in his “man cave”. We love Crystal Lake community and are happy to be here enjoying our retirement years.
