An Integrated Approach to Meeting Disaster Management Issues, Challenges & Expectation Is in the pursuance of a more efficient and effective implementation of all projects coming from the private sector, including that of civil society, NGOs, charitable institutions and even philantrophists. The government acknowledges the crucial role that the private and public sector play in supporting the thrust of the government in managing and helping those in need during and after disasters. The need to promote and encourage more to provide assistance in the advent of national hazards, calamities and/or disasters such that sustainable development is achieved.
3. An Integrated Approach to Meeting Disaster Management Issues, Challenges & Expectation Nation building is not a goal of the government alone. Private entities and the like, as members of the same Filipino community, are part and parcel of the whole array of activities that aim to ensure fellow Filipinos caught in a feat of disaster and poor condition because we belong to one nation. The involvement of the private sector in government initiatives provide the much needed support that yields greater impact to society as it reaches more grounds and people in need. An established government-private sector partnership that is well-coordinated creates a web of humanitarian efforts that is driven to succeed
