To Whom it May Concern,
I am very passionate about working with youth; which my volunteer history will
show. I am currently enrolled in school to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
My ultimate goal is to work with youth who have been incarcerated or are at risk of
being incarcerated. I hope to start programs to work with them on continuing their
education, interpersonal relationships, and finding careers. I am currently working for a
part time job to be able to dedicate more time to volunteering.
I enjoy working with people; I have worked approximately three years in elder
care. I am currently in a human resources position with a company that provides in
home care. I have worked there since June 2013. I started as a part time caregiver and
in November 2014 I was promoted to administrative assistant; from administrative
assistant I was promoted to Client Care & Documentation Coordinator. I assist our
Client Care Coordinators in scheduling care for our clients. I also oversee the central
filing unit in our office, as well as supervise office cleanliness and organization. I
maintain all files and records in the office; making sure they are up to date and
compliant with state regulations. In September I was allowed to hire an administrative
assistant, whom I trained and supervise.
When I was 12 I began volunteering with an organization who provided summer
camps for foster children. This July will be my tenth year volunteering. I have also
volunteered for two years with a similar organization that provides summer camps for
foster teens. I also volunteered for eight years with children ages newborn to five years
old; I assisted and led various children’s church classes. I am recently Completed
training for a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer position.
I enjoy working in a field where I use my natural talent for organization and
attention to detail to make a positive difference in others life. I have nearly two years
administrative experience. I am exceptionally organized. I have a keen eye for detail. I
am a self-starter but value an efficient team. I am always looking for ways to improve
myself and to make my company the best it can be.
I hope to discuss a position with you in person,
Thank You,
Paula Marie Rowe
