Position: National Service Personnel (Structural/Civil Engineer)
My role has involved working on several engineering projects mine wide including underground, processing and treatment
plants and residential buildings such duties as:
 Inspect several construction project sites to review progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety
standards.
 Develop civil/structural design and details using AutoCAD and Staadpro V8i.
 Ensure that safety regulations are complying with on site.
 Perform necessary risk assessment to prevent any further injuries.
 Ensure that non-conformances are reported as per requirements, and that appropriate corrective actions are taken on time,
as well as recorded.
 Review of estimated quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to evaluate alternative construction methods .
 Review of soil and material testing reports to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations,concrete and steel.
 Provide technical advice regarding design,construction and structural repairs to other engineering disciplines like
Electrical, Mechanical and Architecture.
 Co-ordinate with stakeholders in developing concept drawings, design criteria, scope of work, schedule and budget for
engineering projects.
 Ensure that project deliverables meet project design criteria, specifications, standards and comply with AngloGold
Ashanti's safety,health and environment requirements.
 Review and assess project documents,and Inspection and Test Plans to ensure that the technical requirements are met.

Site Supervisor - South Treatment Plant (STP) Rom Pad project.
Project Description: Construction of a reinforced concrete platform to wash the tailings into the plant.
