SWAF INTRODUCTION
The South West And African Forum is an out born of the people known today as AmaHlubi
or AmaMpembe come from a long and colorful African history that trace their origin back to
the Congo, in the Great Lakes region where they were also known as Shubi. Based on the
above this organization exists under the Embo nation on the fact that the Embo people all
over Africa are all under operations of Power, Struggle, Suffering, Wars and Unrecognized
because of this, most foreigners in South Africa who came into South Africa under Embo
nations are not even recognized in their own land, but thanks to God Almighty who has used
his Royal Highness King Bhungane lll to start this journey of recognition we are Africa. Africa
is from one mother, one father and Africans cannot even be a foreigner in their own father
land in one word all of us are human beings we are foreigners on earth. The history of Embo
nations clearly shows and categorically states its origin which simply qualifies every Hlubi/
Shubi/ AmaMpembe as a member of Embo nation. On this juncture South West and African
Forum was authorized to bring together or unite member nations and non member nations
as one Africa for us to stand together and defend our Africa.
BRACKGROUND OF EMBO NATION
The people known today as AmaHlubi or AmaMpembe come from a long colourful African
history that traces their origin back to the Congo, in the Great Lakes region, where they
were also known as Shubi, They are led in present-day South Africa by their King, iSilo
Bungane lll, who also takes this name from previous rulers of the Amahlubi. The best known
of these rulers of Amahlubi was King Langalibalele who had been a thorn on the side of the
British when they came to rule over Natal and impose themselves on the native
communities there. In April 1873, for example, he was ordered to appear at the white man’s
court in Pietermaritzburg to explain why he did not follow the white man’s orders, of which
there were a lot. He was eventually imprisoned on Robben Island but this caused a stir in
England after the Brits were alerted to this injustice by the Bishop of Natal John William
Colenso. The King freed at last but died a few years later in 1889. But before this, the
AmaHlubi had trekked southwards from the Congo, living variously in areas of Zambia and
Zimbabwe where they can still be found and in Swaziland. Before settling in Natal, they had
lived in Vaal area of what today is knows as Gauteng. From what Bungane lll says about the
history of his people. It is clear many of them are erroneously regarded as AmaZulu today.
They come from someone known as Dhlomo, who begat Mkhize, Mbheke, Khumalo and
Bucwa. In present day history, these names are generally taken to Zulu. The name Bucwa
would for many years as the family name, the surname. As each became men and left the
family, they went their separate ways with pockets of followers, each to form their own
“nation”From one of them came as son called Dlemini, who we know today as Dlamini, a
large part of who are in Swaziland. The Amandebele of what was called KwaNdebele in
apartheid South Africa are descendents of King Mhlanga, who is himself a child of Amahlubi.
Mthimkulu and Xaba are brothers who come from same loins as Dlamini and Mhlanga.
Mthimkulu’s son Zikode had his own son Ncobo – not Ngcobo and Hadebe. From what
Bungane lll says, through inter – marriages the likes of Nxumalo and Ntsele came into the
picture. King Ntsele’s first son was Bungane ll. It was this Bungane ll who would attract
acclaim as a medicine man that specialized in intelezi, used during wars to safeguard
warriors against the enemy. It was Bungane ll who sheltered a stranger who had ran away
from his own homestead when he was attacked by his own father, Mththwa. Bungane
prepared this man for Kingship and when he was ready, the man returned home to take
over from his father, who had died. The man’s name was Godongwane, known as
Dingiswayo for having exiled himself after the attack by his own father. Many years later,
When Dingiswayo returned the favour, he looked after a boy who had been chased away
from his own home. The boy’s name was Shaka. His mother, Nandi is of the Mthethwa clan.
It was while he lived with Dingiswayo that Shaka’s aggression grew, having first killed his
own brother Sgujane. History would record that Shaka grew and went on to establish his
own group of followers, who grew into a nation called AmaZulu.
