16. What does this have to do with you? We’re looking for great designers who are also passionate about education.
17. What does this have to do with you? We’re looking for great designers who are also passionate about education. And who think the open source movement is the bees knees.
18. Because, Like everything else we do, we want our logo to be based on collaborative innovation.
19. The task, Is to conceptualize the three words: Open, Equal, and Free.
20. The Challenge, Is to conceptualize them in a way that can be changed by other graphic artists while still maintaining a recognizable “feel” to our logo. So, over time, the imagery will change while still reflecting the iconic ideas: Open Equal Free
21. We Envision Three boxes side by side that can be filled with icons representing the three ideas, preferably black and white. (we like the idea of a hand-drawn look as well) Probably an open door, an equal sign, and a bird in flight. (The open door is a likely candidate for our central logo/avatar) Other artists can then reconceptualize and redesign the three icons while still making our brand recognizable.

24. So, don’t be afraid to surprise us with a better idea!
25. Our favorite vector Will be chosen as our “core” logo. But any good submission will later be included as we begin rotating our logos. Don’t be afraid to go wild! If you favor self-expression over “winning” we love that and would love to use your logo later!
26. $? Nope. Not only will you not get paid, but your idea can be downloaded and changed by other artists.
27. Then Why? To help us help the world. To be part of an exciting graphic design project (as far as we know, the first of its kind). If yours is chosen for the core logo, you’ll get a place of honor among our contributors.
