Signs that stress may be affecting your health:
• Disturbed sleep, muscle pain, headaches,
digestive problems, weight gain/loss, etc.
Emotional signs of stress:
• Anxiety, depression, moodiness, memory
problems, substance abuse, etc.
If you notice more than two or three of these
signs, consider talking to a healthcare professional.

Prevent the development of more serious
depression:
• Set realistic goals
• Break large tasks into small ones
• Try to be with other people
• Participate in enjoyable activities
• Expect your mood to improve gradually
• Postpone important decisions

• Dementia: a group of symptoms caused by
changes in brain function
• Some forms of dementia are reversible, but
other forms are irreversible
(e.g. Alzheimer’s)
• Caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients are at
increased risk for depression, anxiety, stress
