Overview of content metadata
• Descriptive text or graphics are included in a
content item or file. A content item contains one set
of metadata, which can be used by several files.
• Channel metadata also includes category, price
point, allowed billing methods, icons, images,
banners and help/support content.
• Content descriptions can have translations for
multiple markets (optional, but recommended)
• Some of optional metadata is especially targeted to
promote content in spotlight and are recommended
to be filled in by content partner

QA Process
• All content items submitted for publishing go through a quality
assurance process.
• The main purpose is to ensure consumers receive quality content
and application experiences through Ovi Store.
• Nokia tests content prior to publishing to ensure consumers
experience the same level of high quality across all content types
in the Ovi Store.
• To provide problem free end-user experiences, Symbian
applications must be Symbian signed and Java applications must
be certified and properly tested by developer
• Uploaded content should be live within 5 business days after QA
