 In today’s world, studies are the biggest competition in
the life.
 Education is “Preparing a person to face everyday life”.
 Education today… doesn’t prepare one for the normal
problems faced by a person in life.
 Our education system has to change fully, and only teach
what is necessary best for us.
 Education:
Increase in the stocks of skill, knowledge and
understanding possessed by individual or society
OR
Education is an uncontested acceptance of knowledge.
3
The proper definition of education is the
process of becoming an educated person.
Being an educated person means you have
access to optimal states of mind regardless
of the situation you are in.
4
 Today’s education produces only money making
machines.
 We are imparting theoretical knowledge based
education.
 I think life without education is a waste.
 It is worthless, In today’s world.
 We have to make the children more aware on
socialness.
Curriculum, syllabus, planning, policy,
centers of excellence, standard of
education & Islamic education
6
Educational system is a systematic process of
establishing the pillar of society. The word
“Examination” conjures up an image of fear
and dread. Examinations are competitive
tests in which each student rise to surpass his
rival & and manage the time according to the
duration of the system.
7
There are two types of Educational
system.
1) Semester System
2) Annual System.
8
Keeping your Grades up can be vital to your
academic success.
These Grading System are of two type:-
1. Grade Point Average (G.P.A)
2. Percentage Evaluation.
9
 The Grade Point Average (G.P.A) is further classified as:-
1- Absolute Grading System
2- Relative Grading System
The absolute system allows student to have its own individual
assessment of their hard work as far as relative grading is
concern relative grading allows for screening students
according to their performance relative to their peers. In
relative grading a histogram of total marks obtained by all
students is taken and ranges for assigning various grades are
decided for awarding the grades. These “ranges” for assigning
grades are based on upper limit of percentage of students in a
course that can have a particular grade.

17
 The semester system is quite different from the annual system
 Both in the grading policy and the way material is presented
for consumption.
 A week is a unit of the semester system. Unlike the annual
system, where the final examination is the only test of the
learning throughout the year, every Assignment, Quiz, Midterm
counts towards determining your grade in the semester
system.
 The final examination is still the largest single contributor to
the course distribution, but not the only one. In this way, you
have to be on your toes throughout the semester in order to
get a good grade. Semester system is tougher than the annual
system.
18
 Which system of examination Provides good grading criteria?
 In which system of examination, students can obtain better marks?

Critical analysis on semester and annual system

  • 2.  In today’s world, studies are the biggest competition in the life.  Education is “Preparing a person to face everyday life”.  Education today… doesn’t prepare one for the normal problems faced by a person in life.  Our education system has to change fully, and only teach what is necessary best for us.
  • 3.  Education: Increase in the stocks of skill, knowledge and understanding possessed by individual or society OR Education is an uncontested acceptance of knowledge. 3
  • 4. The proper definition of education is the process of becoming an educated person. Being an educated person means you have access to optimal states of mind regardless of the situation you are in. 4
  • 5.  Today’s education produces only money making machines.  We are imparting theoretical knowledge based education.  I think life without education is a waste.  It is worthless, In today’s world.  We have to make the children more aware on socialness.
  • 6. Curriculum, syllabus, planning, policy, centers of excellence, standard of education & Islamic education 6
  • 7. Educational system is a systematic process of establishing the pillar of society. The word “Examination” conjures up an image of fear and dread. Examinations are competitive tests in which each student rise to surpass his rival & and manage the time according to the duration of the system. 7
  • 8. There are two types of Educational system. 1) Semester System 2) Annual System. 8
  • 9. Keeping your Grades up can be vital to your academic success. These Grading System are of two type:- 1. Grade Point Average (G.P.A) 2. Percentage Evaluation. 9
  • 10.  The Grade Point Average (G.P.A) is further classified as:- 1- Absolute Grading System 2- Relative Grading System The absolute system allows student to have its own individual assessment of their hard work as far as relative grading is concern relative grading allows for screening students according to their performance relative to their peers. In relative grading a histogram of total marks obtained by all students is taken and ranges for assigning various grades are decided for awarding the grades. These “ranges” for assigning grades are based on upper limit of percentage of students in a course that can have a particular grade. 10

  • 18.  The semester system is quite different from the annual system  Both in the grading policy and the way material is presented for consumption.  A week is a unit of the semester system. Unlike the annual system, where the final examination is the only test of the learning throughout the year, every Assignment, Quiz, Midterm counts towards determining your grade in the semester system.  The final examination is still the largest single contributor to the course distribution, but not the only one. In this way, you have to be on your toes throughout the semester in order to get a good grade. Semester system is tougher than the annual system. 18
