Native Americans in the plateau region built underground houses and teepees out of bones and animal furs. They gathered and fished for food sources like salmon, trout, onions, carrots, potatoes, and huckleberries. In the summer it was hot and in winter it was very cold, so they gathered food and furs to survive the winter. They wore clothing made of woven animal skins and dressed in local materials like deerskins. The plateau region had natural resources like game, water, and rich soil and features such as forests, deserts, hills, rivers, and lakes.

They built a teepee and an underground Teepee
and some made an underground house. They
were made out of bones, animal fur such as
deer, bison, seal, etc.

sharpen a stick to get fish.

us. It is hot in the summer and in the winters it
is cold like us ( It is very cold in the winters so
they gather food and fur for winter)
