- Action plan The first step is to know exactly what information you wish to release. A good press release for a company will mention a few lines regarding the history, purpose, and direction of the company's history and future path, in addition to dealing with the major subject. You can send it to news organizations, directly to consumers, customers, shareholders, and other distribution outlets.
- Tips and tactics Press releases should be a written in a professional style much like a typical newspaper article is written, and should include all relevant information about your company, product, or service. Since press releases are sent to media outlets, attaching samples, photos, graphics, or even videos will help reporters, readers, and others to better understand the news that you are releasing.
- Additional consideration In addition to sending out a press release to news organizations, you can also send mass e-mail to customers or clients to further spread the word or follow up with personal calls.
