Luis Martins gave a presentation on Windows Azure for developers. He discussed key concepts of cloud computing including types of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), scalability, elasticity, optimal workload patterns, and the platform continuum. He then covered Microsoft cloud services including Windows Azure and SQL Azure. Finally, he addressed business and technical perspectives of moving applications to the cloud as well as potential blockers and workarounds.
