2. Welcome to the second post in our
two-part series on amazing things that
only Australian truckies see. Life on the
road down under can have its challenges,
but when it comes to adventure and
surprise, it's hard to beat.

3. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OUTBACK
SCENERY IN THE WORLD
The Australian outback has a unique beauty that can't be
found anywhere else in the world, and truck drivers get to
see more of it than most of us. Although many people think
of the desert as monotonous, there's actually a huge
amount of variety.

4. INCREDIBLE SUNRISES & SUNSETS
Not only do truck drivers get to spend most of their waking
hours driving through Australia's one-of-a-kind scenery, they
also get to see it when it's at its most beautiful - first thing in
the morning and last thing in the afternoon. Whereas most
people spend these periods either getting ready for work or
returning home, truckies are often out on the road.

5. ALL THE STARS
Once you're away from the city lights and the big settlements
on Australia's coastline, you can see ridiculous amounts of
stars. So, truckies get to do way more stargazing than the
average Australian. This is fantastic on any clear night, of
course, but it's even more special when a 'special event' is
happening in the sky, such as an eclipse.

6. AUSTRALIA'S BEST LANDMARK PUBS
There's no doubt that Australia's most genuine pubs - the
ones where you can have a true blue Aussie experience - are
found a long, long way from our major cities. You've got to
cover an awful lot of miles to get to them. Some of the best
are South Australia's Prairie Hotel, New South Wales's Tilpa
Hotel and the Blue Heeler Hotel, located on the Matilda
Highway in outback Queensland.
