EXPERIENCE
Data analysis, Monitoring and Quality Control:
Assist with written operational guidance and urgent communications; Assist with required
USCCB quality assurance and evaluation activities and internal projects. Liaise between the
USCCB and the International Organization of Migration (IOM), in relation to refugees’ travel and
arrival information; monitored and quality controlled all the MiMOSA interface transmission of
booking data in MRIS; coordinated and disseminated travel and booking information to 120
affiliates; informed IOM, diocesan and other resettlement agencies of changes or transfers;
conduct QC of travelling cases to assure that they are assigned to the right diocesan; informed IT
department of any technical issues facing the diocesan or USCCB staff.
Organization and Coordination skills:
Coordinate MRIS database with resettlement services Data base. Assist with required reports for
funding sources and USCCB committees. Organize and methodical in keeping records. Manage
communications with agency partners, both internal to USCCB and external organizations or
government agencies as well as consultants; Manage the logistics and prepare materials of
internal and external events such as conferences, trainings, national meetings, staff retreats
including travel arrangements, registrations shipment of materials
A South Sudanese community leader in the USA, organized three conferences, couple of funerals,
three major fundraising, four weddings, three successful Independence Day celebrations and two
welcoming party for the President of South Sudan visit to USA
Advocacy, Case work and fundraising skills:
Assist with refugee protection work nationally and internationally and liaison between USCCB
and other Resettlement agencies includes UNCHR, ICMC and IOM.
Traveled to the Middle East with US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Executive team to advocate
and assess the needs of the refugees in the area; namely Syrian and Iraqis. Raise awareness of the
need of refugees wherever it may be.
In Sudan, individually raised $20,000.00 to fund school fees and other needs for the street boys;
developed an easy system to follow up and manage and each case holistically; responsible and
safeguard various needs of 96 internally displaced students in Sudan; allocated and referred
refugees to different housing agencies in the UK to secure housing and job placement; raised
funds for South Sudanese refugees in Sudan, UK and the USA; provided support and assisted
refugees and asylum seekers in completing their applications for immigration status.
Administrative and Customer Service Skills:
Multitasked between the duties of general office and answered multi-system telephone lines;
established guidelines to accurately keep records and the provision of feedback to different
departments; wrote and edited correspondence to clients whenever needed. Compiled daily,
monthly and annual financial reports for major donors both in Sudan, England and USA; prepared
and provided monthly reconciliation arrival reports between USCCB, dioceses and RPC;
maintained and updated after hours contact used by the IOM.
Handled, networked and responded to all transportation urgent matters with IOM and diocese.
Managerial skills:
Managed two quality control teams of indexing and scanning of patent applications; maintained
smooth flow of communication between the examiners of the Patent and Trade office.
Supervised and trained agents on quality service and how to demonstrate a positive and
cooperation attitude when responding to complaints and inquiries; assessed appropriate diagnosis
to conflicts and promptly found resolution or escalated them to the right channels.
Trained co-workers and affiliates on new adopted software and demonstrated how travel and
booking information is interfaced through MRIS.
In England, I managed two hostels for refugees, which included 20 families from different
nationalities, and participated in national census to determine the population of refugees in UK.
Deputized in the absent of the director in Sudan and supervised the operation of the charity’s ten
different projects; networked and liaised with national and international non-profit agencies.
Linguistic Skills:
Fluent in Arabic, Dinka and English language; utilized my linguistic skills to best assess the needs
of internally displaced persons and refugee families upon arrival in Sudan, refugees in UK and
USA; provide interpretation and translation of documents whenever needed; assisted with
immigration forms and matters. Occasionally, interpreter in Arlington and Alexandria courts.
Other Relevant Skills:
Received training on fundraising, marketing, public relations and report writing in UK.
IT skills includes MS word, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, outlook, database and MRIS.
