Having worked in financial services
design and communication for nearly
twenty years it is remarkable to look
back and see how much has changed.
Many of the brands we originally cut our finance design teeth
on, such as Barings, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Warburg
Dillon Read, James Capel, Bankers Trust, Mercury Asset
Management—to name but a very few—have been through
periods of great change as mergers, acquisitions, corporate
restructuring, the emergence of new technologies and new
markets have altered the face of global finance. We have also
witnessed the trend toward globalisation and then back again
to more niche services.
One constant remains however. The need for businesses
to communicate strategically, effectively and clearly is vital,
as companies compete to gain attention and get their story
across to their key stakeholders unambiguously.
As an integrated online and offline agency with a particular
expertise in financial services marketing, we offer compelling
and campaignable solutions to a wide range of brand and

our brief was to communicate the key
strengths of the business and reaffirm
the Man Group positioning of strength,
solidity and trustworthiness. The online
report supported the printed material
and featured bespoke video content and

Emperor has advised, designed and produced
Moneysupermarket’s annual reports since their full
listing on the London Stock Exchange. To support and
complement their printed report, Moneysupermarket also
commissioned Emperor to produce their online report.

Endless commissioned Emperor to create
an online newsletter to keep their stakeholders
informed, educated and engaged. Our solution
was Oxygen, an online magazine format
embracing Web 2.0 functionality and technology.

Xtrakter is a leading provider of capital markets data,

market. Emperor was asked to design and deliver

Briefed to produce Farrer & Co’s maiden annual
review following their conversion to LLP status,
Emperor designed a distinctive and quirky
document that captures the personality and
values of what is undoubtedly one of the UK’s
