JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Activity Leader
LOCATION: Welling School
LINE MANAGER: Director of Key Stage 5
APPOINTMENT: 2 hours per week/term time
CLOSING DATE: 12th October, 2011
(Applications from 6th Form Students Only)
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT
To take registers and a weekly record of attendance
To lead an extra curricular activity for key stage 3 for 2 hours a week in term time
To meet ½ termly with the Director of Key Stage 5 to evaluate the success of activity and
retainment
To prepare resources or ensure the Director of Key Stage 5 is given four weeks notice to provide
any resources required.
Welcoming new students to the group
Setting up/packing up the room used and displaying /removing signs
Assisting with fire drills
ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Researching, planning and delivering an activity for a period of 2 hours a week in term time.
Attendance and notifying 24 hours in advance of cancellation.
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
95% or above attendance in Year 12
95% or above punctuality in Year 12
Reference from Director of KS5 to ensure good progress is being made in post sixteen courses.
DESIRABLE
Event management, experience of leadership, previous work with KS3 or enrichment during
Year 12
PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Able to attend meetings etc. beyond the normal school day .
No contra-indicators in personal or criminal record to indicate unsuitability for the post applied for
