                                          Muslim prayer times are calculated
                                          according to the position of the sun.
                                          They differ every day depending on the
                                          geographical location and season.

                                          There are five formal times of prayer during
                                          the day:

                                          Fajr        Before sunrise
                                          Dhuhr       At midday, after sunrise
                                          Asr         During the late afternoon
                                          Maghrib     Just after sunset
                                          Isha        Between sunset and midnight




                                          Target for the new clocks
                                          Based on Swiss clock-manufacturing and
                                          integrated GPS technology, the target
                                          group for the new IPTEQ Prayer Time
                                          Clocks are the younger and more modern
                                          users, but still keep a certain timeless
                                          character.

                                                                    a high-precision time instrument.




The Islamic Golden Age of Science
Between the 9th and the 14th century the Islamic world was in the
forefront of technology and sciences. Muslim scholars invented
new tools or perfected existing ones, like the astrolabe.

The Astrolabe
The astrolabe was used for navigation
as well as for calculating prayer times.

                                             traditionally finds it challenging to communicate the complexity and diversity
                                             of its portfolio.

                                             • Present the Honeywell Sensing & Control portfolio in an effective, brand-
                                               promoting way, creating excitement for new product introductions and
                                               generating traffic to the company’s booth at trade shows


                                             Solution
                                             • A series of interactive demonstrator spheres, allowing visitors to
                                               experiment the sensory controls by touching, blowing and manipulating
                                               the spheres. Each sphere highlights the unique characteristics, accuracy
                                               and sensitivity of a particular sensor, while creating a strong link
                                               throughout the whole portfolio.


                                             Launched at Electronica 2012 trade show in Munich, Germany.

                                       Unsafe water and sanitation cause an estimated 80 per cent of all
                                       diseases in the developing world.

                                       Bottled water is therefore a must-have in many developing countries:

                                       • India: consumption of bottled water tripled between 1999 and
                                         2004.

                                       • China: Bottled water is a must-have in China, following toilet
                                         paper and cell phones. Some people refill the bottles with polluted
                                         water and sell them.

                                       • Brazil: has the fourth highest bottled water consumption
                                         worldwide ( after USA, Mexico, China).

                                       The waste caused by bottled water is about 1.5 million tons/ year.
