8. METALS OF TODAY AND TOMORROW
Centuries of tradition , knowledge and craftsmanship makes
Non Ferrous Metals extremely valuable and significant

9. Undeniable Megatrends
India will surpass
China Population
by 2022
The basic needs of 50%
population will increase
much faster in the next
10-30 years.
India reached 1 billion
in 2000 and will reach

UrbanizationElectrification
Environmental
Concerns
11. We are good at all the manufacturing processes, but Disruption is taking
place
airbnb.com does NOT OWN any hotel property, but still manages largest
Number of hotel rooms daily.
Uber.com does not own any cars, but still is the highest TAXI Aggregator
GM the CAR MAKER filed for Bankruptcy in 2008
KODAK and NOKIA died an untimely death,
11
We must Innovate or be ready to Perish
12. Innovation In Copper
High Strength Copper Steel for Rail Tank
Cars to Bridges
Copper-based Solar Cells: Good for the
Environment, Good for the Consumer
High Copper Alloys - High Strength Coppers
reduce power transmission loss
Copper Water Tube: Good for Consumers,
Good for the Environment
Copper continues to be a Valuable material. We must strive to understand the need of
our customers to apply copper efficiently and effectively today and in the future.
12
13. Addressing needs
Electro mobility is driving copper
demand upwards. The amount of
copper in modern car designs is
rising fast.
Copper-based Solar Cells:
Good for the Environment, Good
for the Consumer. Copper and its
alloys have been a part of
renewable and other "green"
energy systems for many years.

14. Innovation In Aluminium
14
Important metal for the future, because of its
strength, low weight and good potential for
recycling.
When lighter materials like aluminum are used
in construction, energy consumption can be
reduced.
Its specific weight is 2.7 g/cm3, which is one-
third that of steel. In vehicles, Aluminium
reduces unnecessary weight and therefore
fuel consumption.
As a reflector of heat and light, Aluminium is
suitable for such applications as solar
technology and rescue blankets.
16. SUBSTITUTION IS NOT A THREAT
You can substitute copper as a cost driver but you cannot substitute its
ability to innovate.
16
17. Copper makes the world work better
Industry efforts since the 1990’s
leading to a 60% reduction of
their unit energy consumption.
2/3 of the copper produced
since 1900 is still in
productive use
17
Copper is virtually 100% recyclable; as an element it does not decay. It is Non
Corrosion Resistant, light weight, durable, waterproof, good conductor of heat and
highly ductile
Burning of the Dubai tower was caused due to the use of
other materials (The so called substitutes)
19. The urbanization, economic growth, political stability and young population will
drive the rate of growth of Non-Ferrous Metal Consumption in India in double
digits
• India to grow at GDP of 7.5 – 8% in next
three years (World Bank)
• Become the fastest growing economy
with 8 – 9% growth over the next 20-25
years (Morgan Stanley)
• Ranked No. 1 investment destination in
the world as per 2015 Baseline
Profitability Index (BPI)
• Climbed up by 12 ranks to attain the 130th
rank in “Ease of Doing Business” ranking
(World Bank)
• Major Reforms will bring India in top 50
within 3 years. (Department of
Industrial Policy and Promotion – GOI)
