summer reading loss
Summer reading loss is cumulative; by middle
school, this means a potential total loss of
2 YEARS!
4. All students reading
all summer:
Entering 1-2:
Read 1 book a day
Entering 3-5:
Read for a total of 1 hour a week

On the last day of school, your child will come
home with a bag containing:

A calendar log to keep track of his/her
reading
Information about a special program at the
Totman Library for PES students
