This document discusses using Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to help students practice speaking for international English exams. It describes the speaking components of exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and FCE. With BYOD, students record their speaking practice on their own devices and send the audio files to their teacher for customized feedback. This allows each student to get individual comments on their fluency, grammar, pronunciation, and how well they address the exam criteria. An example is given of an IELTS group that used BYOD, with students reporting increased confidence and practice from receiving targeted feedback on their performances.
