revenue cause of fans.
 The wishes of a national team manager may
sometimes conflict with those of a club manager
over selection of club players for the national
squad; the club manager may not wish the player
to miss domestic fixtures.
 For this reason, in many cases, national football
team managers are selected from current club
team managers and also in many cases, they
select the players of their clubs.
Some of the popular formations
4-4-2
(England National Team)
 A manager has to plan
for the game, as he has
to select correct
players for correct
positions.
 Also a manager has to
select the formation
for the team of 11
players.
4-2-3-1
 This is nowadays most
popular formation in
Football, as the game
changed to give fans more
entertainment, Managers
tried to give more focus
on attack based football.
 Manager’s in football have
to plan for whole season
for every different
opponent they need to
apply different tactics to
overcome their
opponents.
Managers are the masterminds behind the way the players play on the field.
Players are playing on their given position
Players are fulfilling the role giving to them
Players are following the game plan
 Leading part has often been referred to the “action”
part of the management process. This is where it
all happens.
 Even in football it’s no different, A manager has to
lead his team, a group of individuals to accomplish
the organization’s that is club or country’s goals of
winning tournaments and trophies.
 In football, manager has one or more Assistant
managers who provide an aid to him, to handle the
club well.
 Managers has to motivate the players and other
staff to do well and do better every day.
 Leading functions includes DELEGATION OF
RESPONSIBILITIES, MOTIVATING PLAYERS and
