Freddie Mercury was the lead singer of the famous rock band Queen. He was born in 1946 in Zanzibar and moved to the UK where he formed Queen with Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon. Mercury composed many songs for Queen based on his personal life experiences. He kept his AIDS diagnosis secret until just before his death in 1991 from AIDS-related complications.

The group's name was chosen by Freddie Mercury himself, even though
they knew they would have homosexual connotations.
This was formed by vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May,
drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Deacon.
Freddie Mercury composed many songs. Most songs are based on his
personal life and experiences or feelings I wanted to convey to society.
9. The last years
Freddie Mercury developing AIDS disease. Although not recognize that
he suffered this disease up to two days before his death.
Death: 24th of November in 1991 due to a bronchopneumonia
complicated by AIDS
Recognition: He was the artist who broke all the schemes being the first
singer to express his sexual orientation and to the Catalans is important
because he it gave us a great time and a great song in 1992,
participating with Montserrat Caballé in the Olympics games in
Barcelona.
