Editor's Notes
The main reason I’m showing this way as opposed to the other searches is b/c content from Ambrose 2.0 isn’t integrated into the Catalog, Media, or Encore search options. I also like that the database list gives a brief description of each resources.
Type your search terms or Scroll down the alphabetical list to browse for useful content.
I’m just trying to highlight the variety of disciplines covered in this streaming media collection. Everything from art to literature to history to science. I really like the core science series, the great authors series, A history of_______________ American Achievement
Here is a summary chart of various features, but this chart I think can be a little misleading b/c it really doesn’t show the content richness of these various collections. For example, Annenberg Learner has an excellent resources for students and professional developmental content for teachers and faculty. Kanopy is a small collection, but has wonderful documentaries dealing with gender and race.
You can also search for streaming media from within in this guide…
Libguides is a content management system which allows the librarian to highlight library resources along with sources from the open web. They cover your typically subjects like college algebra, psychology, etc. They can be very specific such as how to format a MLA style paper, plagiarism, STEM scholarship information for minority males or finding OER (free textbooks, free MOOCs)
