Recommendation Letter for Mr. Mike Kenyon
Let me introduce myself. I am an Associate professor and former Chair of the Department for
Information Technology Management (ITM), Business school, at the University at Albany. In this
capacity, I would like to write this letter to support the nomination of our best student (to graduate
in 2014), Mr. Mike Kenyon.
Mr. Mike Kenyon was one of my best undergraduate students taking courses to fulfill the
ITM/Management concentration in the Business major program at the School of Business,
University at Albany.
Mr. Mike Kenyon was in the top 1% all undergraduate students in his generation taking BITM330
(in class of 400) and in BITM331 (class of 60). We had extremely good cooperation with various
projects (particularly when designing business applications using Excel and Access). He was very
successful with completing his tasks always on time. He is very good team member (proven in his
work in BITM331) and a team leader in his efforts to motivate colleagues in huge class (BITM330).
He was very successful in his leadership role helping his generation to be among the best cohort of
BITM330 students in last 5 years.
Mr. Mike Kenyon is enthusiastic and motivated, interested in problem solving. His activities in
business and entrepreneurship the best describe his character! As a person, Michael is industrious,
very cooperative, and serious young man. He is showing one of the most important part of the
business education: innovation and strive to succeed in new business horizons applying fresh
initiatives and expanding horizons.
He selected his major to be ITM/Management, which is, according to general opinion the “winning”
combination! This blend of studies will help him to his career goals, both in a small or in a big
company, but also giving excellent base for the continuation of his studies in the MBA program.
