Pathfinder Systems, Inc., in Arvada, CO, is a software and hardware engineering firm that develops helicopter aircrew
training simulators for the United States Marine Corps. The company performs research and technology development,
manufacturing, and engineering service support for government and industry.
I planned and wrote operational, instructional, and maintenance manuals; ensuring the format and layout of the publications
conformed to Department of Defense (DoD) standards and specifications. I assisted in preparing presentation materials for
meetings and teleconferences; and performed acceptance testing jointly with the customer to ensure requirements were met.
Revised Test Procedures for helicopter aircrew trainer, conducted Government final acceptance tests, and recorded
results in a Test/Inspection Report.
Wrote technical notes for aircrew cabin acceptance tests, based on Government statement of work and system

supervising a 12-person department, consisting of eight technical writers, two technical editors, one human-factors engineer,
and one knowledgebase architect.
Personally updated Intel Network System’s final VPN software release, consisting of hardware, software and
concepts guides, and release notes. Worked with print vendor to deliver documentation and documentation CDs
on schedule.
Championed and established a new Usability Lab to perform usability tests on VPN hardware and software
applications. Enhancements and suggestions were incorporated into successive releases.
Developed and improved Intel’s VPN product documentation set. The documentation’s ease of use was cited in PC
Magazine’s Editor’s Choice award for the Intel VPN Gateway product.
Managed OEM relationships with Hewlett-Packard and Compaq for branding VPN documentation sets, developed
template processes for successfully producing separately branded documentation simultaneously.
