Founded in April 1,2009, Latina On a Mission (“LOAM”) was created to fill a
need within the blogosphere for women, primarily Latinas, who have
acclimated to the United States culture, yet are proud of their
cultura/culture.
The site written in a young, trendy and intelligent voice, may include
Spanglish, a combination of English and Spanish, with translations provided
for non-Spanish speakers. The use of Spanglish allows the reader to connect
with the writer; thereby, creating an intimate relationship between the two
that facilitates communication.
Seeking to inspire Latinas to live their best possible life, LOAM will feature 52
real world Latinas On a Mission in 2013.
