The present continuous is one of the present tenses used in
modern English.
The Present Continuous is mainly used to express the idea
that something is happening at the moment of speaking. Also
describes activities generally in progress. Another use of the
tense is to talk about temporary actions or future plans.

Affirmative.
Subject + verb to Be + Verb + Ing
I am playing
You are eating
He is dancing
She is singing
It is traveling
We are walking
You are cooking
They are reading

about something happening at the time of speaking

6. Uses of Present Continuous
The present continuous is used to talk about something
that is happening at the moment in which we speak.
Time expressions such as "now", "right now" and "at
the moment" indicate the present continuous.
Examples:
I'm studying now
Is it raining.?
He‘s cooking at the moment
7. Also we used to talk about something that is happening
today but not necessarily when we talk. In this case, use
time expressions like "currently", "lately" or "these
days".
Examples:
Are you working much lately?
She's currently looking for a job
They're learning Spanish
8. We use the present continuous to talk about something
that is already decided will be done in the near future.
This indicates that happen surely planned.
Examples:
I'm going to the beach in the morning
He‘s not coming to the class tomorrow
