1. The completion of City Crossing in the City of Shenzhen signifies a new height in
relations between the People’s Republic of China and the United States. City Crossing
represents more than a manifestation of China’s journey toward modernization and world
economic prowess. It is the culmination of a far-sighted effort, led by China Resources
Company and supported by RTKL, to create a place in which the people of China can
demonstrate to the international community that they have a place on the world’s stage
for commercial success by combining entrepreneurial effort for the common good and in
the spirit of fulfilling individual human potential.
It is altogether fitting that the City of Shenzhen is home to City Crossing. For it is
here that China’s best and brightest reside. It is here, along the Pacific Rim, that China
and the United States can continue building beneficial ties for a better economy, for
increasing communication among our people, and for a greater confluence of our two
nations’ historic destinies.
