Commissioner Robyn West Elected Anoka County Board Vice Chair
Anoka County Commissioner Robyn West was elected vice chair of the seven-member
county board at its organizational meeting January 3, 2012. In addition, West was named chair of
the county’s Management, Intergovernmental & Community Relations, Information Technology,
and Benefits and Compensation Committees.
West also was named vice chair of the county’s Airport Committee and will serve on the
Human Services and Public Works Committees; and the Anoka County Canvassing Board. She
also was appointed to the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District Board and Executive Board;
North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition; Counties Transit Improvement Board; and is the Historical
Society Liaison.
West was named a voting delegate to the National Association of Counties and to the
District 10 Executive Committee of the Association of Minnesota Counties. She was appointed
vice chair of the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority and will serve on the Anoka
County Regional Railroad Authority and East Central Creating Community. West is the lead
commissioner in the areas of pay equity and cultural concerns.
