  1. Aujourd’hui, la mondialisation est le principal moteur mondial puisque si le monde est aussi riche, c’est grâce au développement des échanges. Mais qu’est ce qu’est vraiment la mondialisation  ? Par définition, la mondialisation est le développement des échanges et des déplacements à l’échelle mondiale. Cela concerne les biens, l’argent (flux financiers), les personnes (travail, tourisme…), les idées et les informations. Aujourd’hui, la mondialisation s’effectue dans un monde inégale puisque la planète n’a jamais été aussi riche et les écarts aussi importants. Mais alors, après cette constatation, la mondialisation est-elle vraiment une bonne chose  ? Afin de répondre à cette question, dans un premier temps nous verrons si la mondialisation réduit ou bien renforce les écarts de développement. Puis, pour finir nous observerons cette mondialisation sur l’environnement.
  2. Tout d’abord, on peut comparer le PIB des pays du «  sud  » par rapport à ceux du «  nord  ». En effet, on remarque vite que le monde est inégalement développé  : Au sud, le PIB (Le PIB ou produit intérieur brut est un indicateur économique de la richesse produite par année dans un pays donnée.) est de 4  500$ par personne par an alors qu’un habitant du nord a environ 27  000$ par an. (D’après le relevé de mars 2011) Cependant, ces chiffres sont en petite progression dû à l’ouverture aux échanges et à l’investissement international qui crée des emplois et des richesses dans ces pays qui disposent de ressources mais aussi d’une main d’œuvre bon marché. Sur ces points, la mondialisation paraît une bonne chose. Malgré tout, en donnant du travail à l’étranger, il y en a de moins en moins chez nous. Les usines fermes, il y a des délocalisations un peu partout dans les pays du nord par exemple avec Renault. De plus, malgré que la mondialisation ait apporté du travail dans les pays émergents, 20% de la population du sud vit avec moins de 1$ par jour (C’est le seuil d’extrême pauvreté) et 50% avec moins de 2 dollars (C’est le seuil de pauvreté). Les personnes étant pour la mondialisation dirons que cette globalisation fera reculer la pauvreté tandis que les opposants affirment qu’elle aggrave les inégalités.

  4. La mondialisation pousse les habitants des pays du sud à quitter les campagnes pour partir dans les villes pour trouver du travail et améliorer leurs conditions de vie (éducation, santé…) Ainsi, 1 milliard de nouveaux citadins s’entassent dans des bidonvilles.  Diapo <numéro>
  5. Les progrès alimentaires, sanitaires et médicaux offrent une forte réduction de la mortalité et donc une explosion démographique population (x3, 5 depuis 1950) dans le sud. Malheureusement, la croissance démographique est trop forte et la croissance économique n’est pas encore assez suffisante. Il y a donc beaucoup de pauvres. <numéro>
  6. Peut-on dire que la mondialisation est une menace pour l’environnement  ? L’environnement fait l’objet des préoccupations planétaires depuis 30ans. Ainsi, certaines atteintes à l’environnement concernent toute l’humanité. Comme par exemple le réchauffement climatique, les menaces sur la biodiversité. En effet, c’est en fait la croissance démographique et le développement qui entraînent une forte pression sur les ressources  : eau, bois, énergie, minerais… Puisque la mondialisation diffuse un modèle basé sur la consommation en masse.
  7. Le sud devrait compter 8milliard d’habitants vers 2050 soit 2,5 fois plus qu’aujourd’hui. Les besoins en eau, ressources alimentaires, en énergie et en logement seront impossibles à satisfaire.
  8. Ainsi, il est sûr que le monde entier ne peut pas vivre de la même manière que les occidentaux, sans que l’équilibre écologique ne soit menacé ainsi que les ressources planétaires épuisées.  Diapo Consommation d’énergie
  9. On peut donc remarquer que sur certains points, la mondialisation reste l’une des choses qui a pu permettre au pays du sud d’évoluer (progrès sanitaires, médicaux…). Mais cependant, on ne peut pas y voir que des bons côtés. En effet, la mondialisation nous pousse à la sur-consommation, qui pourrait bientôt épuiser les ressources Mais cette mondialisation n’enlève malgré tout pas le problème de la pauvreté et de l’inégalité dans le monde qui elles, persistent.
