I am writing to express my full support for Maresa Thompson as a candidate for the District 12
Board of Directors.
I have known Maresa throughout her involvement and leadership with AAF Albuquerque and see
her as completely committed to the AAF and to the individual clubs. She has tackled projects as
varied as the ADDYS and NSAC with high energy and tenacity. As president, she dealt with a
challenging financial situation in her own local club and brought them back from a potentially
devastating scenario into a returned position of strength and leadership. She is willing to make
tough calls and do whatever work it takes to get the job done. In addition, Maresa’s extensive
tourism experience has been a boon to both District 12 and to the Albuquerque club in
negotiating the best rates and terms possible for events requiring hotel rooms. Maresa is a huge
asset to our organization.
