Review of Little Simz 'Age 101- drop x' by Mandy Nana
1. UK Rapper Little Simz is no stranger to delivering quality music. It has only been 3 months
since the UK Rapper released her debut album ‘A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons’ which
Vogue Magazine crowned as one of their best albums of 2015.
Little Simz was definitely in a good mood during this holiday season as she surprised her
fans with an EP called Aged 101: Drop X. Little Simz goes bar-for-bar with TED’s very own
Isaiah Rashad as well as Mick Jenkins, Bibi Bourelly, Jesse Boykins III, and more.
Accompanied with this EP was a note from the rapper:
“Firstly I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far. This
year has been a special one. After releasing my debut album I wanted to round up the
year nice, felt right to release another Drop solely for the people who been on this
2. journey with me. For those who are wondering why i called it Drop X instead of Drop 5,
it’s simple this is my TENTH solo project. I know right, madting.”
This project sees Simz taking a chilled approach to let out steams on joints such as ‘Just A
Dose’ before reminding listeners why she is the best at what she does on a WondaGurl
produced beat ‘Savage (Freestyle)’
Little Simz has been chosen by the people as the leading voice of the UK rap scene and she
is not about to let the people down. Little Simz is definitely an artist to look out for in 2016.
