• The fracture mechanic configurations of performed E-glass polyester composite specimens.
• Calculation of the energy release rate.
• Creating hand made mesh in place of fracture. (Element size: element size ∆a=0.02 mm)
• Modeling the displacement in the specimen under critical load.
o Determining the coordinates of the strain and stress tensors, based on the equation of
elasticity (hooks law, strain transformation expressions) at the position of rosette strain gage
and calculating the Mohr equivalent stresses.
o Analysis of perforated aluminum structure with 9 strain gages that glued to its
surface.
• Accuracy analysis of plane finite elements, by using various types of mesh elements.
• Plane 42, Plane 82, Plane 182, Plane 183.
• Stability and post-buckling analysis of built-in beam.
• Calculating the critical values of the forces, in built in beam that has linear elastic isotropic
material (detailed FE calculation by hand). Then verifying the calculated critical forces by
ANSYS by apply the same two elements.
• FE Analysis of the fan blade.
• Calculating the maximum value of σr stress, by using the simple beam model of the
rotating blade and derived the closed-form solutions.
• Using a thin walled shell/plate finite element model in ANSYS for:
Membrane, bending and membrane + bending stress intensity at the specific point.
The first three frequencies (HZ) and vibration modes of the blade if the wheel is at rest.
The first three frequencies and vibration modes of the blade meanwhile the wheel rotate.
