Housing Microfinance: Addressing Home Improvements and Housing Needs by Meliza Agabin discusses an initiative by the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines Microfinance Academy and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to promote housing microfinance. The objectives of the panel discussion were to share the process of designing the housing microfinance product, early challenges faced and how they were resolved, whether the product works for banks and clients, lessons learned so far, and important regulatory features.
