1. Welcome!
“I reflect upon myself as a young business
professional growing in my school studies, creating
experiences for my future, and standing out in the
crowd; like a red tulip amongst the yellow.”
2. A little about me...
“Originally, I began my after school career in the
field of Advertising and Graphic Design—but eventually my
love for Marketing prevailed.”
Almost two years experience in the industry, I decided
that I enjoyed the business aspect of the working world,
which vindicated my desire to learn.
3. Education...
A diploma in Advertising and Graphic Design from
Humber College was not enough for this overzealous go-
getter. Currently, I am attending Durham College to obtain a
two year diploma in Business Administration focused in
Marketing (Honours 2011/2012).
I have a dream of achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in
Business Administration majoring in Marketing, hopefully
at Schulich School of Business, so here I am wildly chasing
down my dreams.
4. Experiences...
After graduating from Humber College in 2010, I
quickly landed an internship at Carr McLean, that turned
into a full-time position. (May 2010-September 2011)
Prior to my career I worked at Subway Restaurants as
a part-time Key Holder for a number of years. (2006-2010)
While working at Subway, I also worked a part-time
cashier position at Bulk Barn Foods Canada. (2007-2008)
5. Bragging Rights...
Placed 3rd in Durham College’s “Dragon Den” style
Triple Bottom Line presentation contest. (2012)
Honours Award Student for 5.0 GPA Durham College
Business Admin., Marketing program (2011-2012)
During my years at Humber College, I successfully
marketed to Hincks-Dellcrest a promotional strategy for the
educational game, “Coulda Woulda Shoulda.” (2010)
6. Community Involvement...
Volunteering is an important attribute of a team player
and a team leader.
Currently, I am a new member of the Durham College
Leadership Program. Some responsibilities of a DC Crew
Member include: campus tours, information provider, and
event planner. (2012-Current)
Whenever I have spare time, I enjoy volunteering at the
local Humane Society of Durham Region. (2011-Current)

8. Social Media Sites & I...
I quickly learnt the keys to success lie in who and what
you know—that is why Social Media flourishes.
Networking on Social Media sites, like Facebook, Twitter
and Google+, allows connections to, otherwise, people I would
not generally meet. Through these sites individuals can learn
about my personality and interets, getting to understand who I
am on a personal and professional basis.
9.
10. LinkedIn Networking...
Social Media resumes, such as LinkedIn, open the
door for opportunities by giving prospective employers
and clients the ability to explore my showcased skill sets,
interests and experiences, without ever having to interact
directly with me—it spares us our time.
Should an interest spark, Social Media tools provide a
quick and easy outlet for contacting one another, developing and
expanding our connections and relationships with professionals
in the field.
11. Blogging & Microblogging...
Social Media sites, such as Blogger and Twitter,
allow the writer to express their thoughts on social issues
and interests, while showcasing the author’s ability to
communicate effectively.
Prospective employers can use these sites to distinguish
whom will best fit in with the office atmosphere, and adapt
quickly—which can make or break your resume.
12. In the emd...
Social Media tools play a large role as the Marketing
world moves forward with initiatives to set us apart from
one another, and embracing the available networking tools
enables us to distinguish and position ourselves in the social
market place.
