MSM Mission To preserve & promote the historic, cultural, social & economic vitality of downtown Momence and to foster a spirit of community teamwork that will result in a vibrant & inviting downtown district. Main Street Momence is a 501c3 volunteer-driven, preservation-based economic development program.

7. “ In an economic climate best described as grim, there were eight new businesses started in the Main Street zone in 2010. Two closed. Seventeen new full-time jobs were added. Four were lost. There were 31 part-time jobs added. “ Now the addition of 13 jobs will scarcely show up in Kankakee County statistics … but it shows what can be done.
