To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to recommend Linda Hill for employment with your organization. My recommendation is unqualified -
she would be an asset to your workforce.
I am the General Counsel of the Democratic National Convention Committee, the organization that was responsible
for organizing the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. In planning and coordinating the
Convention, the DNCC worked hand-in-glove with Committee for Charlotte 2012, the Host Committee responsible
for promoting the City of Charlotte in connection with the Convention.
Linda worked as the Office Manager for the Committee for Charlotte. In that capacity, she worked with people from
all departments within the Committee for Charlotte, but also with many of us at the DNCC. She was well known in
both organizations because of her friendly and open personality and her ability to get along with everyone.
I was particularly impressed with Linda because of her willingness to tackle any job and to pitch in regardless of
what needed to be done. Every time I would talk with her she was taking on another project or working with
someone new to be sure that the work could get done. I think as a result she knew more about what was going on
around the two Committees than almost anyone else.
She was always thinking of new ways to try to solve problems. I appreciated her willingness to consider different
alternatives to the various issues that arose during the preparation for the Convention. That flexibility made it easy
to deal with her and made people more willing to turn to her when there was a need. Despite the stressful atmosphere
we all worked in, Linda was unfailingly polite, friendly and unflappable.
Again, I highly recommend Linda for employment given my experience with her at the Convention. I am in the
process ofretuming to Washington, DC, and am sorry Linda is not coming, too, since I would enjoy continuing to
work with her there. If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Very truly yours,
~
