Most of the territory's urban development exists on Kowloon peninsula, along the northern shores of Hong Kong island and in scattered settlements throughout the New Territories. Hong Kong's long, irregular and curvaceous coastline also affords the territory with many bays, rivers and beaches .

Some orbit around the coasts, while others travel through rugged, wild terrain. For the first part of the trek, you will trek along the west of Tai Long Wan – comprising of 4 famous beaches (elaborated later) On the 1 st day of the trek, the instructors will assess the physical condition of the group – the route may be modified along the way.
