The hills and valleys of Coroglen hide a colourful pioneering history. Today you can ride through this
picturesque landscape from Rangihau Ranch following the old pack-horse tracks of the 1800's.
The guided trail rides will take you through native bush and across open pastures into the rugged
Coromandel ranges to take in the stunning views out across the Peninsula.
We run a team of 30 well- conditioned trekking horses to suit all sizes and experience of riders and
some very sweet ponies for pre-schoolers who can take a 1/2 hour track on a lead-rein down to the
Waiwawa river and back.
We are situated half-way between Tairua and Whitianga at Coroglen. Treks of 1 hour, 1.5 and 2
hours can be booked in advance, school and tour groups catered for.
So saddle up and experience the 'Real New Zealand Ride'
4. Game Fishing: Mamma Mia! is fully setup for game fishing so why not try your hand at capturing that elusive marlin for
tag and release, yellowfin tuna, or jig for kingfish at one of their favourite feeding grounds.
Scenic Cruising: Simply spend a day or half-day cruising around the spectacular Mercury Bay with its many bays and
coves and enjoy an Italian-style picnic lunch at one of our favourite beaches along the way.
Your hosts Dave & Mike Green are mad keen fishermen. Mike having just completed the last 2 seasons in Vavau
Tonga with Steve Campbel tagging and releasing over 160 blue marlin and many other fish. This year 2011 we also
have 2nd billfish section NZ nationals. A day on Mamma Mia! will be one to remember.
