especially Twitter. You might say it’s
just a case of looking for them. Yes,
that’s a very astute observation. But
how many of us can devote the time
required and do everything else our
businesses require? Exactly. Therefore
it seems a smart move to ensure that whatever else you don’t do, making sure that your
Twitter efforts are organised. Having a planned strategy can make a huge difference. It
may well mean customers come looking for you, which is the ideal.
So what do we mean? Follow our top 10 recommendations and watch your customer lists
grow.

Top 10 tips to help your business succeed in Finding

1.The number one way to boost your customer base is great content. Let’s face it an
intriguing tweet, a great link, answers to a problem are going to pique curiosity and get
potential customers looking in your direction. Make sure your content is relevant, that’s
all people really want in the main. Hire a great content writer if you don’t have one
already and that will definitely help in your quest in finding more customers on Twitter.
2.Lead people by the hand. We all like to be gently coaxed and cajoled. So don’t forget to
ask people to retweet for example. This can make a massive difference and only 1% of
tweets sampled used a RT request. Don’t forget to use one or two hash tags so you can
be pulled up when people want specific information about specific topics. Only 24% of
tweets include this device so that’ll make you stand out in the crowd. Hastags promote
twice as much engagement too. But don’t go mad. You can really put people off if you
use more than a couple in one tweet.
3. We know 140 characters is short but apparently 100 character tweets are popular. What
does that say about our powers of concentration? However, life is short and tweets are
plentiful so say what you need to say quickly and dramatically. Max 100 character tweets
equals 17% more engagement. You’ve been told! and this is a great way to promote
interest and help in finding more customers on Twitter.
4. Posting at the right time can maximise your message and improve your chances of
finding more customers on Twitter. Between 8am and 7pm is the best window. You can
delve more deeply if you have time by reading this article
5. Ring the changes. Here are a few things you can try to raise awareness and stop brand
fatigue .
6. Try searching for your name (yes, you are allowed) You will see where you are being
mentioned. You’ll also see what people are saying about you. You might even have the
opportunity to respond to a questions or make a suggestion. It’s the human face of the
organisation which prompts customer engagement.
7. Search for relevant keywords. Don’t just go for the obvious. Take a peek at topics both
broad in scope and specific to your niche. This will help to keep an ear out for what is
being discussed.It will also show you where discussions and articles are on the net
too. When you get involved in more Informal discussions you might get an eureka
moment or an ‘out-of-the-box insight’ .This might prompt a new service, idea or product
perhaps.
8.Tweet asking for responses. What do you think about? Anyone had a good experience
regarding? What can be improved? Anyone got questions about? etc.
9. Whatever your specialism follow others in your niche. You will get tips, find information
and just make interesting and possibly beneficial connections. Think Ben & Jerry, Laurel
& Hardy, Marks & Spencer!
10. The miscellaneous final point. Create lists and follow them closely. This means you will
always be aware of what they are doing. Be interesting…always interesting, be
active….consider being local and make sure your image and description really helps you
