COLUMBIA, S.C. - A local La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries dealer recently gave University of South Carolina baseball coach Ray Tanner
something comfortable to go with the school's back-to-back College World Series Championship wins.
Byron Brown, a South Carolina graduate and co-owner of six La-Z-Boy stores in Georgia and the Carolinas, donated a leather recliner
with a USC Gamecock logo to the coach, presenting it at the university.
Tanner's team won the university's second consecutive College World Series Championship in June, beating Florida 5-2.
The $799 recliner, part of the new customizable XZipit line, features team logo panels that can be zipped in and out of the seat back via a
patented hidden zipper system. Sports fans can purchase panels from xzipitpanels.com, including licensed logos from colleges, professional
sports leagues and military branches.
