- CarlyGraduate recruitment:A process whereby large organisations (public and private) recruit final year students to commence work after they complete their degree.Occurs during your final year, usually in Semester 1.Expectation is that after completion of the program, graduates will continue their employment with the organisation in higher level positions
- CarlyMost graduate programs require completion of your degree within the previous two years to be eligible.Some organisations accept postgraduate students – check with the organisation you are interested in to check before applying.
- CarlyMany organisations start their graduate recruitment campaign in February the year prior to graduates starting employment.Applications can close as early as the end of March.Positions usually commence at the beginning of the following year.Some opportunities are open for applications throughout the year.Some employers have a very small window of opportunity to receive applications – as little as two weeks from the day of advertising in some cases.You will need to manage your applications around all your other study, work and personal commitments.Applying for graduate programs can be a lengthy process and requires a bit more work than applying for part-time jobs you may have had during your studies.Source: The AAGE Employer Survey 2009Submit your application asap as some organisations close off applications when they have received a certain number.
