Vice started operating in 1994 as a counter-
culture magazine, to transform itself into a global
media giant and a go-to source for younger
audience several years later.
Vice has turned itself from an edgy and provoking
content provider to a well respected source of
documentaries and content creator with a highly
mastered command of video.
Over the years, Vice has participated in lots of
initiatives and developed itself on a large scale, also
due to continuous partnerships.

Vice developed a series of guides for travelers who
are frustrated by lack of relevant travel guides for
young people.
The Vice Guide To Europe 2014 covers 16 European
cities, 13 of which are traditional grand tour
destinations and three are in Eastern Europe.
Due to its several offices around the world, Vice
is able to produce guides that go beyond listing cheap
places to sleep and go into the things that really
matter to young people e.g. clubbing culture as well
as street politics of the region and cheap places to
sleep.

Vice Guide To Mental
Health

The magazine Vice has partnered with a UK mental
health charity Mind to create an online platform
dedicated to mental health.
The Vice Guide to Mental Health wants to remove
the stigma around this issue and encourage the
public conversation by featuring real stories showing
the reality of living with a mental health illness. The
campaign aims to change the way the society thinks
about mental illnesses and open a frank, explanatory
dialogue.
The articles cover subjects like the influence of
recreational drug use on mental health,
underreported illnesses or the impact of austerity on
people battling mental health conditions.

Vice News has teamed up with Bank of America and
Pinterest to launch a show to make complicated
money matters more transparent to young people.
The show brings together writers, thinkers, policy
experts, and scholars to break down the facts and
figures that shape our world. The topics include
student debt, immigration and money, the cost of
war, why artists don't make money, and other
financial topics that appeal to millennials.
This fresh perspective will be spread via Pinterest
and their insights department Pinsight Labs which
offers a analytical look at the financial topics that
millennials are interested in.

has now partnered up with Unilever in order to
deliver content and insights about women in
workplaces.
Vice's new web series sponsored by Unilever, is

environments. The first episode of "A Day With"
features Denisse Arranda who is a "Venezuelan
transplant, sports car enthusiast and one of the top
engineers for NASA."

Video Platform

Vice cooperates over a multiyear deal to provide
exclusive video content to Verizon's new platform.
The content includes Vice's new interview series,
autobiographies, and also add an exclusive curated
selection of original videos on topics familiar to Vice:
food, travel, tech, and more. The partnership with
Verizon comes shortly after their deals with HBO,
Spotify, Samsung, and Snapchat.

Launch Online Food
Network

Vice and Fremantle created an online hub dedicated
to food including videos, web series, written features
and recipes.
“Today’s youth are the driving force behind the food
culture explosion, yet they remain totally
underserved when it comes to original food
programming,” Vice Media president Andrew
Creighton said in a statement. “Partnering with the
best in class, FremantleMedia, the new Vice food
channel will upend the culinary media landscape,
producing more jaw-droppingly entertaining original
multi-channel food programming.

The independent counter culture Vice
magazine launched its breaking news channel on
Youtube.
Vice's content has shifted from dealing mostly with
independent arts and pop cultural matters to
covering more serious news topics. The magazine's
editors have championed the "Immersionist" school
of journalism, regarded as something of
a DIY antithesis to the methods practiced by
mainstream news outlets.
So far Vice has focused on long
form documentaries, reports and news documents,
but from now on Vice News will offer its audience
short formed reports, breaking news, live streams,
which will be accessible on YouTube on a daily
basis, combined with social media.

Women with New
Channel

Vice launched its first female-focused channel,
covering a variety of topics including politics, culture,
lifestyle, sex and fashion.
Among the various programming that are aired, the
launch series include Ovary Action, which explores
reproductive health and fertility.
Broadly's publisher Shanon Kelley said in a press
release: "The same principles Vice applies to its
storytelling will also apply to everything Broadly will
do – we're telling original stories you can't find
anywhere else, in the same voice and tone as that of
our audience."

Vice will soon be launching their new, 24-hour cable
channel VICELAND, that will be featuring lots of new
programming.
After making and releasing thousands of videos and
documentaries over the past several years, Vice has
decided to create its own, cable channel VICELAND
and share own vision of how TV should look like.
The mission of Vice's new TV is similar to their
company one: "It's us trying to understand the world
we live in by producing pieces about things we're
curious about, or confused about, or that we think
are funny."
