• Skills Development Fund
– Assists employers that provide customized
training to new and incumbent employees.
• Skills for Small Business
– Helps small businesses (fewer than 100
employees) cover the cost of tuition and fees for
employees at community colleges.
4. • Is a partnership between an employer
and a community college or the Texas
Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
• Funds customized training for businesses with new
employees or existing employees needing to upgrade
essential job skills.
• Maximum cost per trainee: $1,420.

5. •Provides training dollars to small businesses
(<100 employees) for full-time staff.
•Maximum of $1,450 for new hires and $725
for incumbent workers.
•A simple qualification process that begins
with a visit to a CC or Workforce Center
• The training funds will cover tuition and fees of
catalogued courses at public community colleges and
TEEX.
