melodies are ancestral (although in
reality, many have less than 200 years).

English, with few exceptions, the rest are
written in Irish.
Most of the old themes, melodies, and
methods have rural origin, although
there are many modern topics that often
come from cities and towns. The
melodies take the form of traditional
dances. The typical instruments are:
bagpipes, bodhran, fiddle, tin whistle
and / or Irish flute.
