We would like to extend a sincere welcome to
you and hope that our school brochure conveys
a sense of the warmth and friendliness that you
are bound to experience on a visit to the school.
We are proud of our heritage and traditions – the
history of our school makes fascinating reading
and places us in a unique position within the local
community.
The aim of the school is to provide all students with an educational
experience which allows them to achieve academic results and provide
opportunities for them to grow in confidence and as leaders. All students
are encouraged and supported to develop skills and qualities to take
forward into the future – whatever that future will be. Aspirations here
are high and we strive to maintain an ethos where all students are
encouraged to aim high and develop their talents.
We are a supportive and caring school. Relationships between students
and staff are outstanding and all our young people are known as
individuals with their own strengths and personality. This is a happy
school. We work hard but know how to have fun along the way. The
house system is just one example of students working together across
the year groups in a very healthy, competitive way in areas such as sport,
music, drama and debating.
Former students tell us that they have fond memories of their time
at Crossley Heath and that their experiences here have made them
confident young people with the highest aspirations for themselves
and the contributions they can make to the world. Ofsted judged our
school to be ‘Outstanding’ in February 2011 and we receive many public
accolades for the quality of our provision but I would encourage you to
visit the school and experience the positive and vibrant atmosphere for
yourself.
