Electronics Marketing (EM) and
Technology Solutions (TS), operate
in the three major economic regions
of the world: the Americas; Europe, the
Middle East and Africa; and Asia Pacific.
Electronics Marketing serves electronics original
equipment manufacturers and electronic
manufacturing services providers globally,
distributing electronic components and embedded
systems from leading manufacturers and
providing design-chain and supply-chain services.

2. Q4 Fiscal Year 2016 Financial Results
Key financial metrics
• Sales of $6.2 billion decreased 8.4% year over year due to high single-digit declines in both
operating groups.
• Gross profit margin increased 18 basis points from the year ago quarter to 11.7%, primarily due
to an improvement at Technology Solutions.
• Adjusted operating income decreased 20.1% year over year to $194.7 million and adjusted
operating income margin decreased 46 basis points to 3.1%, primarily due to lower profitability
at both operating groups.
• Adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.86 decreased $0.30, or 25.9% year over year.
• Cash flow used for operations was $72.8 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016 and cash
flow from operations for the trailing twelve months was $224.3 million.
• Paid a quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share or $21.6 million, and has paid $88.6 million
in fiscal year 2016.
• The Company repurchased $46.8 million worth of stock, or 1.2 million shares, in the fourth
quarter and $377.5 million for the fiscal year. Entering the first quarter of fiscal year 2017 the
Company still has approximately $174.9 million remaining under the current authorized share
repurchase program.

• Sales of $2.3 billion decreased 6.4% year over year in constant currency (7.8% in reported
dollars) driven by declines in select areas of legacy data center products. Organic sales,
decreased 7.6% in constant currency.
• TS gross profit margin improved year over year primarily due to an increase in the Asia region,
and was essentially flat sequentially.
• Adjusted operating income margin of 3.1% remained flat from the year ago quarter as the
decline in sales was partially offset by improvements in gross profit margin. Operating income
margin increased 50 basis points sequentially primarily due to improvements in the EMEA and
Asia regions.

• Sales of $3.9 billion decreased 9.4% year over year in constant currency (8.7% in reported
dollars) primarily due to double-digit declines in the Americas and Asia regions partially offset
by growth in the EMEA region.
• EM gross profit margin was essentially flat with the year ago quarter and was down
sequentially, primarily due to a decline in the Americas region related to an ERP
implementation.
• Adjusted operating income margin of 4.0% decreased 82 basis points from the year ago quarter
primarily due to the year-over-year decline in sales and to higher operating costs incurred as a
result of an ERP implementation in the Americas region. Sequentially, operating income margin
decreased 58 basis points primarily due to lower sales and increased costs related to an ERP
implementation in the Americas region.
