2. There is no need to introduce PhoneGap Build.
This excellent tool for developers really open door to
mobile market for a lot of companies.
However as a developers we can improve some
things. Android .apk file size for example. By default,
PhoneGap Build don't remove a lot of files from your
uploaded archive and also keep 2 copies of his
JavaScript library.
Ok, let's start.
2
4. 2. Rename *.apk file to *.zip (yes, this is zip archive). Check size of apk file.
I am using here FreeCommander - free file manager that save me a lot of time.
4
5. 3. Open archive and select all unnecessary files. For this case: splash
screens, PhoneGap Build config.xml, icon files and phonegap-x.x.x.js
5
6. 4. Delete all files. Depend of your graphics size you can make
final .apk file much or just a little smaller.
6
7. 5. Finally rename your *.zip file to *.apk again. Important: this 5
steps above doesn't work on Mac OS Lion - at least in my case.

8. NOW WE ON ANDROID
I use my Google
Nexus S phone.
After uploading
apk file into
phone, we can
install it.
